We like to think of ourselves as “professional nerds”, and our website is our way of sharing our passion for the film and series franchises that inspire us. You’ll find a lot of content relating to The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Comics here, but also the stranger, weirder and crazy from the world of film and streaming.
The Team
Eirik Bull (Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief)
Eirik is a Norwegian film journalist and critic specializing in science fiction, fantasy and fandom. A self-described film, sci-fi and fantasy nerd, Eirik got his start writing reviews on Letterboxd and later Cinema Norway. In addition to his work as editor-in-chief and main content creator for FilmLore, Eirik writes for and manages the website of Norway’s largest film magazine, Filmmagasinet.
Eirik holds degrees in film production, marketing, and brand management. He is a member of The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) and was part of the FIPRESCI jury at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in 2021.
Jon Christian Brekke (Co-Founder and General Manager)
Jon is a Norwegian software engineer and all-around tech nerd. You might wonder what he’s doing on a website dedicated to film, fantasy and fandom, but Jon is also a big movie and series fan, watching a lot of murder mysteries and costume dramas. And besides, who else would run the technical day-to-day maintenance and gadgetry that is needed to keep a site like this going.
